| ' TOWN OF SANDTON |
| MAIN STREET.
The only official road that runs through town made of worn and broken concrete. Guarding each side are the local stores, where the humans buy all their groceries and other goods. The street is usually busiest place in town and although most stores have a no dog policy dogs are often seen trotting between the shoppers.

| TAVERN.
The stench alone tells you this is a place of alcohol. For this reason the small building can be dangerous for dogs, with angry drunks looking for something to take their frustration out on. It’s also known that arranged dog fights happen here, in the back room, where strays are taken and set upon each other. Yet dogs still come here, food is often available and an open fire crackles through out the night.

| HOUSING.
This is where the majority of the town’s people live. The houses are ornate looking log cabins, each a similar size but decorated to the tastes of its owner. Over all only about twenty cabins are lived in the rest are either holiday homes or rented out during the summer, so many stand empty during the cold seasons, a life saver for many strays.

| DOG FIELD.
A big open field, free of trees is where the dog owners bring their dogs for socialisation. Near the bottom a small river has dug its way through the landscape, which goes to feed the lake. Picnic tables and a small play area are located in a corner of the field where the owners can rest and watch their companions play.

| LAKESIDE.
The focal point of the town is the beautiful glassy lake that lies hidden within the trees. It is a popular place for fishing and also water sports which are held during the summer. During the winter it all but freezes over, making it dangerous the walk on as the ice is often thin. A collection of benches and tables are scattered around the lakesides but the majority of it remains untouched by human intervention.

| ' OUTCASTS |
| SCRAPHEAP.
Mid way between the town and the wild lies the scrap heap, a rotting mountain of old cars, kitchen appliances and general rubbish. It is rarely used now, the humans finding a cleaner and more pleasant way of discarding their unwanted items. Although the heap is full of boxes and wrappings actual food is hard to come by, the best prey seagulls and rats. Yet shelter is in abundance here, abandoned cars and old scaffolding pipes are just the right size for a sleepy dog.

| OLD DOCK.
On the unused side of the lake a small old dock and pier that was once home to local fishermen and leisure boaters. A few have even left their shabby boats behind; some are stable enough to shelter in but jumping aboard is always risky. The surrounding trees and water provide food for dogs that shelter here so hunger is not an issue. However strong winds and freezing water may drive them away for the boats are often wet and shaky.

| HUNTERS CABIN.
An old unused cabin that hides among the trees of the near by forest. The building is still intact, almost untouched by the years of neglect. There are even a few beaten items of furniture inside, any of which provide a comfortable bed for a weary traveller. Apart from snow, which can block the door, the cabin is otherwise unaffected by the weather, the trees shielding from the wind and the cabin itself from downpours.

| ' OUT IN THE WILD |
| TREE KINGDOM.
As its name suggests the tree kingdom is full of trees, the point that defines the boundaries separating civilization from the wild. The majority of the forest climbs the sides of the valley, which means travelling through it can be tiring but it is also the richest place for finding prey. Unfortunately this also means that it is a popular hunting place for humans with their guns and dogs. By avoiding the streams and river that run through the forest you’ll most likely avoid any trouble as the humans use these to navigate.

| WOLF ROCK.
In the heart of the forest is the most spiritual area for the wolf pack, known as wolf rock. Hundreds of years ago a rock was split open during a storm to reveal a single wolf print, preserved within the stone. Since then the wolves have made this their place to worship, believing the rock is significant and a sign from the gods themselves.

| NEST SITE.
The main site for the pack, where their dens are made and pups are kept. It is hidden from human knowledge, the reason why their pack is the only one surviving, and sheltered as best as possible from the harsh weather. The dens themselves are dug between tree roots or under rocks, most only big enough for one adult. Rain is the wolves’ biggest problem, the water often flooding or collapsing dens, which apart from the humans is their biggest killer.

| OUTLOOK.
An over hanging rock that has clear view of the town and surrounding areas. The pack uses it as a meeting place or for over viewing herds and human movement. It is a vital planning place and a large cave is also a lifesaver for stranded wolves. Large catches may be brought here for the pack to share but other wise the outlook is left unused.
